America is a patchwork of ideas, cultural diversity, and experiences. What images and words come to mind when you think about America?  Do you think of the land, the people, the values, the places, or stories?  This project explores the ways that each of us sees our country and our place in it.  Inspired by Josh Storer and his art piece, Anytown USA, which uses art to express the complexity of America through a collage that captures multiple layers of identity. Using clippings from old magazines and newspapers, you will create your own unique view of America through the stories, images, and words that you choose for your project.
You can see more of Josh's work in this year's Faculty Art Show!
