Our recycled art project merges gratitude with art.  Using recycled materials, create an artwork using whatever medium you like, that expresses something that you are grateful for. Are you grateful for a person or a place or thing?  How does gratitude make you feel?  Think about what makes you feel thankful and imagine the ways you might express your gratitude in an artwork made from recycled materials.  We provide some starting points below, but the rest of this “thankful art” project is personal, so be creative!
Materials:

● Sketchbook
● Pencil and eraser
● Recycled or discarded objects (be sure to check each item for safety before using)
● Bonding material (glue, tape, etc.)
Directions:

1 - On the sketch paper, write and draw what you are grateful for.
2 - Think of colors, textures, and materials that represent how your gratitude makes you feel.
3 - Use any medium you choose to create your “thankful art.”

Be thankful, be Inspired, be creative, and most importantly, have fun!
